Reply from an add-on forwarding address

Mail sent to an add-on forwarding address already arrives in your main inbox. To reply or send from it, add it as an identity in your mailbox's webmail. It takes about two minutes for each address.

In your webmail

  1. Sign in to your mailbox's webmail with your main address, the one you set a password for. The sign-in link is on your account page.
  2. Open Settings and look for Identities or Send mail as. The exact name depends on which webmail your mailbox uses.
  3. Add an identity for the add-on address, for example [email protected].
  4. Optional: if your webmail offers a "reply from the address a message was sent to" setting, turn it on. Replies to mail sent to homes@ then go out from homes@ on their own.

Sending a new email

Start a new message, then choose the add-on address from the From line, or select the identity you added.

On a phone

Add the identity from a computer first; most webmail apps cannot add one from a phone. After that, choosing the add-on address as the From line works from the app too.
